Levy Innovations is the food service concept division of Levy Restaurants. The Company has a strategic partnership with Compass Group North America, a division of UK-based Compass Group PLC, the largest foodservice company in the world. The Innovations team has been responsible for the design development, concept and launch of many memorable and successful dining venues around the country.
As a result of the tremendous growth they required new space to house their creative team: Levy Innovations. The Innovations group includes graphic designers, project managers, cost estimators and a chef.
Their new offices required essentially three spaces: a team environment for the staff, a friendly test kitchen and a flexible conference room that could double as a board room and food presentation dining room. For their own offices they wanted a space that was not a laboratory setting but one that was open, accessible and friendly to their internal and external partners and clients.
The main workroom features a custom designed team workstation. The entire staff is organized around this banquet table like workstation. Ideas are shared and developed in this open environment. The main table is augmented with flexible work tables and file pedestals. A small conference room near the entry is used for more private conversation or visitor meetings. The test kitchen, and conference room are almost in continuous use either for food concepts presentations to clients, or internal food tastings for new product development.
